"Consider what God has done: Who can straighten what he has made crooked? When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future." Ecclesiastes 7: 13-14

A Time for Everything
Ecclesiastes: A book in the Bible that is often over looked but yet so powerful to those who read it. I was able to read this whole 5 page chapter and walk away with a whole different aspect on life and what our true experience of life is for. If you are a believer like me, you think the basic picture of life is to live it day to day with God as our main source of survival. Without him, life would be nothing and there would be no purpose. There are many reasons for everything that happens, weather good or bad, it's all part of the great works of God. As a human being, I as well as many others get caught up in "life" itself and wander off our path that God has constructed us, in order to be happy or successful. We try to achieve these things that are only to impress others and ourselves that we forget that our heart is somewhere else rather than with God. In all of the book of Ecclesiastes, it tell us all about how if our heart is somewhere other than God, it is "meaningless". Why work all your life or try to impress people all the time if in the end it doesn't make you happy? Don't you think that's meaningless? God wants us to live a life for him, a life that we can share unto him and experience weather the outcome is good or bad. There is a reason that he is present...so that he may take us home when our final breathe is done here on earth. To take us to a place he has been paticently waiting for us to attend. So why live a life of meaningless...when you can live a life that has meaning. I urge you to read the book of Ecclesiates. You'll get a good sense of what I'm talking about and hopefully your life will change because of it.
