Opening my eyes
This morning I was blown away about how amazing the colors of the skyline looked this morning. Bright blues, oranges and pinks...the sunrise was breath-taking. Now if you watch Seinfeld religiously then you would consider breath-taking as ugly...I refer breath-taking to be awesome in this post just fyi :) While I was driving to work and being mesmerized by the sky a song came on the radio that fit the mood perfectly. I'm a country girl at heart so it's no surprise that I have the country station on 24/7. The song 'I saw God today' came on by George Strait. Right then and there I received a much needed reminder...I was seeing God right in front of me and all of his amazing-ness! Although not in his humanly form I knew God was showing me something this morning...a sign to relax, to pay more attention to whats around me and Him and lastly to see that he is everywhere, we just have to open our eyes to see them. He shows his presence everywhere, the ground beneath our feet, the trees, the air, the people...We just have to open our eyes to see them. I know from experience that life gets in the way and we are so caught up in ourselves and whats around us we forget the finer things in life and the beauty that surrounds us. It takes reminders like sunrises to set us back on track. So I hope we all take a time to relax today and everyday to see the beauty of what around us, God is doing things :)

A Time for Everything
Ecclesiastes: A book in the Bible that is often over looked but yet so powerful to those who read it. I was able to read this whole 5 page chapter and walk away with a whole different aspect on life and what our true experience of life is for. If you are a believer like me, you think the basic picture of life is to live it day to day with God as our main source of survival. Without him, life would be nothing and there would be no purpose. There are many reasons for everything that happens, weather good or bad, it's all part of the great works of God. As a human being, I as well as many others get caught up in "life" itself and wander off our path that God has constructed us, in order to be happy or successful. We try to achieve these things that are only to impress others and ourselves that we forget that our heart is somewhere else rather than with God. In all of the book of Ecclesiastes, it tell us all about how if our heart is somewhere other than God, it is "meaningless". Why work all your life or try to impress people all the time if in the end it doesn't make you happy? Don't you think that's meaningless? God wants us to live a life for him, a life that we can share unto him and experience weather the outcome is good or bad. There is a reason that he is present...so that he may take us home when our final breathe is done here on earth. To take us to a place he has been paticently waiting for us to attend. So why live a life of meaningless...when you can live a life that has meaning. I urge you to read the book of Ecclesiates. You'll get a good sense of what I'm talking about and hopefully your life will change because of it.
"Consider what God has done: Who can straighten what he has made crooked? When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future." Ecclesiastes 7: 13-14
Whats to come
is something that I've been wanting to do for awhile now. Put my own thoughts and ideas down to share with the blog world instead of the binding of a paper journal. Something that expresses me and my personality and who I truely am. I believe writing opens the heart and frees the mind, much like painting....you get lost. So from here on out, I'm going to get lost in topics that inspire me, day to day life that consumes me, and everything in between.
